I am back from Paris still floating on a cloud of joy from meeting 14 wonderful ladies and being in the most beautiful city in the world!! 

I should really have blogged about our trip already but I guess I am not ready yet! Don't want to close the case!!

For today I would like to share a very simple page made using April kit from Hip Kit club. 

De retour de Paris, encore toute émue des belles rencontres et de la beauté de la ville. 

J'aurais dû poster sur mon périple mais je crois que je ne veux pas encore classer l'affaire et rester encore sur mon nuage, à croire que ce n'est pas vraiment fini!!

Alors aujourd'hui je vous propose une page de scrap aux couleurs vives et gaies pour lutter contre la pluie incessante. Une page faite avec le kit d'avril de Hip Kit Club, toute en couleur fluo!

Who does not like a grid?
I had fun with Hip Kit April Kits :  those chipboard frames were calling for a grid and lots of embellishments!

Quand on a un doute sur le design d'une page: la grille ça sauve toujours!!
quand j'ai ouvert le kit d'Avril de hip Kit Club et que j'ai vu ces cadres polaroids, je savais que je voudrais les utiliser en les embellissant.  C'est vraiment une technique qui me plait: j'aime les détails, les superpositions d’embellissements, les jeux sur les couleurs.

 

So I chose a bunch of pink/ yellow/ aqua and just played around, layering and stitching. 

  I like craft with yellow and pink: it makes them pop in a happy way.

It looks carefree but it took me a while to find a place for everything and to finally be happy with that layout. I guess I need a bit more time to find my confidence again!

I usually keep a notepad on which I draw sketches, and I also get inspired by my favorite scrapbookers. But I tend to over think the deisngs of my page, always searching for something new to make! maybe I should just relax!!!

{ Scrappy sunday // why I sew for you }

Happy sunday everyone!

I hope you had a relaxing sunday! Mine was spent waiting at the horse riding club for my girl to do a jumping competition and then to recieve her price! she ended up winning in her category , so I guess that was worth the while of waiting 4 hours in the wind!!:)

This girl has my heart!! she is the cutest one and the funniest too! and what a chatter box! Always talking and making stories up. 

Et voilà une toute nouvelle page faite avec le kit de Mars de Hip Kit club. Un peu de découpe et un long journaling. J'ai caché deux photos sous du papier calque pour ne pas surcharger ma page.

I made this layout to document how much I like to sew for her.
I used the March Hip Kit club kit. 
I knew I wanted a long journaling and I aso wanted to incorportate these 3 photos. So I cut bits of patterned papers to the size of my photos and then layered them, and stitched them with my sewing machine.
Then I hid some of the photos under a piece of vellum to tame the whole layout down. 

Papers and emebellishements are mostly Crate Paper and American Crafts. I am crazy about both!  That little sewing machine from Crate Paper was just spot on for me!!:=)

 Of course there is a little bit of stitching going on here!!:)
I fussy cut the "&" from a Crate Paper sheet. Oh how I enjoyed this process!
I am now working with the April Kits. There are filled with fun colors.
 

{ White space : an AMERICAN CRAFTS layout }

 hello fellow scrappers!
do not worry , I did not abandon my love for scrapbooking! even though I am spending a lot of time sewing right now and enjoy doing so very much!

I made this layout yesterday : I don't usually create such designs but wanted to try something new and I am happy with the result: Lots of Amy Tan Yes please, a tad Mayberry and some stuff form my stash.

the tiltle is a Amy Tan Sticker,

  and the yellow striped vellum is Mayberry:

Those Studio Calico wooden stars are one of my all time fav item!

{ American Crafts: Gift for Friends: an embroidered zippered clutch }

today I have another pouch to share today! I made this one for the American Crafts Blog: I used Amy Tan Embroidery kits and it was so easy!
I added pieces of ribbons here and there (Amy Tan too! ) and voilà!

{ DIAGONAL }

 I chose a diagonal design for this layout: very simple and yet with some happy details.

Everything here is MAYBERRY by American Crafts: such a girly collection (apart fomr the neon pink washi and the lace ribbon) .

documenting a photo I love taken 2 wek-ends ago . 

I used some 3D adhesive (again!) underneath the wings of the butterflies: they look as if they were flying!!

I cut some clouds out of the blue paper and played with ink and stamps.

just a fun page for me to make!

I have also been catching up on my Project 12, will show you that later!!

for now I am going to go and dig in my Crate Paper goodies to prepare my next post!!

{ PROJECT 12 & ONE LITTLE WORD }

To be quite honest I think I failed my 2012 Project Life.

Well I didn't "FAIL" totally: some weeks are done, but most turned out to be monthly spreads I did when catching up.

The thing is I LOVE THE IDEA, and I do want to document our daily life because all our little moments are so precious and time runs fast and I want to remember.

I was inspired by Davinie Fiero's post about Project 12 in 2013. This immensly talented lady created the concept of Project 12 back in 2009.

Just like her and many others:
- I work outside the house
- I have 2 kids to look after
- most of our weeks are the same! 
- I  want to spend a lot of time quilting this year as I hope to launch an esty shop soon!

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I decided to follow Davinie and start a Project 12 album:

Each month will be displayed on a 2-page spread of divided protectors and that makes the whole process much more manageable for me!
I am also going to use these Elle's Studio monthly tags to make the titling of each spread easier: no need to spend to much time designing a title.

I also used these free printable tags found via Pinterest here: they are my favorite color combo

SO here you have it!

I used lots of Dear Lizzy and AC stuff here:
including the Pow paper I love which I cut with my Cameo.




while making this title page, I thought about my 2013 little word : and "SLOW" came as an obvious answer.
Because I do need to slow down, fo hurry hurts everyone's heart including mine and my kids'.

me voici de retour avec ma page titre de mon Project Life 2013.
en fait ce ne sera pas un Project Life mais un Project 12 selon le concept de Davinie Fiero. 

En fait j'ai eu du mal à boucler mon PL 2012 et finalement beaucoup de semaines se sont retrouvées contractées en mois! 

DONC je me suis dis qu'il fallait s'y remettre mais de manière moins ambitieuse, parce que :
- je travaille en dehors de la maison
- je suis une maman bien occupée
- je voudrais faire tout un tas d'autres choses comme faire du patchwork et lancer ma boutique sur etsy
- mais aussi parce que je veux tenir un journal de notre vie quotidienne  et me souvenir des petits moments. 

 alors voilà!
un projet plus adapté à mon mode de vie! EN ROUTE POUR PROJECT 12 2013:

 

 J'ai utilisé des étiquettes imprimables trouvées sur Pinterest ainsi que des étiquettes Elle's Studio qui ont la taille idéale pour les pages divisées. J'ai également utilisé un badge "Badges Folie" ainsi qu'un embellissement en bois que vous pouvez trouver dans leur boutique!

Allez vous vous lancer dans un projet de ce type?
Je vous assure que les bénéfices en sont innombrables!

 hey and Happy Sunday!

It is never easy for me to create " boyish" layouts!

I am more of a sassy girly kind of scrapper. 

But I do love these photos from my husband birthday back in November and I am so glad Santa brought me a printer so I can now print from home !

I used Amy Tan Ready Set Go collection : the colors are fabulous in this collection.

 I popped the small photos on 3 D adhesive for more texture and cut the brown wooden paper in arrows that pop off the page too. 

The small heart stamps are also Amy Tan and i think they are so cute. I used them with my favorite ink pad: Tim Holtz distress Ink in Pumice Stone.

And hey, can I have a litlle "self satisfaction" moment?? do you mind? did you see this?

pas facile pour moi de créer des pages "masculines"!
 Après tout je suis avant tout "très fille" (c'est le moins qu'on puisse dire!!). Mais j'aime tellement ces photos de l'anniversaire de mon homme ET j'ai pu les imprimer de chez moi pour la première fois grâce au Père Noël! 
et finalement j'aime bien  le résultat: des lignes droites, du volumes grâce au scotch 3 D sous les petites photos , et aux flèches coupées dans le papier bois. les petits coeurs sont des tampons Amy Tan Ready Set Go (American Crafts) de même que tous les papiers:; les badges et le die cut "live" sont Studio Calico. 

Et puis, petit moment d'autosatisfaction: un petit visuel de la galerie Two Peas in a Bucket! ça ne tue pas!! :)
C'est l'heure de la sieste chez nous!

{patchwork all over }

 I am lucky enough to have received the new valentine collection from American Crafts called XOXO.
I love the colors and patterns so much I could not wait to use it!
I made this very simple layouts, an expression of my new obsession for quilts and patchwork!

J'ai la chance d'avoir reçu en avant première la nouvelle collection de American Crafts pour la saint-Valentin. Je ne pouvais pas attendre février pour scrapper ces couleurs et ces motifs. 
Cette page toute simple reflète mon obsession du moment pour le patchwork et le quilt!
j'ai  créé fond douillet pour ma fille et nos chatons!
 


I wanted to create a backrground like a comfy blanket for my girl and our 2 kittens!!

 

My new passion for patchwork had to be turned into a project: I am NOT at all talented for sewing and stitching, so this is a real accomplishment!
My sewing machine was rarely used before outside my scrapbook pages! but I LOVED the process of making this simple blanket.

D'habitude j'utilise uniquement ma machine à coudre sur mes pages de scrap mais ma nouvelle passion pour les patchwork devait se traduire par un projet concret! 
DONC! voici ma première tentative de couture: moi j'ai adoré faire cette couverture pour ma fille, aussi colorée qu'elle! et elle adore se lover dedans! 

well! that is all for today!
as you can see I have slowed down a bit the rythms and amount of the pages I share here.
 I think I needed to slow down and step back from some of my teams. It was really too much for me and I could not keep up with both real life and scrapbooking duties.
SO now, I am left with 2 awesome teams to work for: American Crafts and Crate Paper. that way I feel I will have more time to put into my projects and more time for my life and family too. I will also have more time at hand for bigger projects such as articles for magazines and online classes I am preparing for spring 2013! the best is yet to come!

I hope to create projects that inspire you, dear readers, and please me too at the same time!

comme vous l'avez peut-être constaté, j'ai réduit le nombre de mes productions et aussi celui des équipes créatives auxquelles je participe: 5 c'était juste impossible à gérer! 
Me voici donc maintenant avec American Crafts et Crate Paper; 2 équipes que j'adore et auxquelles je vais pouvoir consacrer plus de temps afin de créer, je l'espère,des projets de qualité tout en ayant plus de temps pour moi et ma famille. Cela me permettra aussi de me consacrer à l'écriture d’articles et de préparer des ateliers en ligne pour le printemps prochain .. mais chuuuuuuuuuut ! c'est un secret:)
