{ FLOATING ON CLOUD 9 / a new bag }

I am really getting addicted to "small" projects, and I love the detailed sewing when making bags. So I made myself a fun big bag to hold all my teaching supplies.
I used Noodlehead free pattern : Cargo Duffle
Fabrics are Cloud 9 (clouds and yellow leaves from Bark and Branch) and Robert Kaufman Essex in black.

The yellow pockets are Botanics by Robert Kaufman too.  

 All of my fabrics were purchase from Hawthorne Threads.

 Here is a close up on the inside of the handles.

 I did not use the snippets to close the pockets, they don't sell them in my tiny loval fabric shop!!

 I added a little triangle I made for the zipper end.

 Et voilà! It took me quite some time to make it but it is only because it is fully quilted. The pattern is really easy to follow. I will try another Noodlehead pattern very soon : the super tote is calling my name!

well, I am getting addicted to these small projects.
But now I have a quilt top to finish! Here is to more sewing hours!

Dans la série, "je couds" pour moi: je viens de finir un grand sac le Cargo Duffle, un patron de Anna de Noodlehead. Un patron gratuit mais une fois de plus en anglais. Ceci dit, il n'y a aucune difficulté majeure. Le processus est un peu long parce qu'il faut tout matelasser avant d'assembler. Cela m'a aussi permis d'améliorer ma technique de pose de fermeture éclair ( la terreur de toute couturière novice!!) : j'ai compris qu'il me fallait d'abord assembler un bord à la fermeture à l'aide de grands points pour assurer une jolie finition.

Je suis dingue de ces tissus nuages et feuilles de la marque Cloud9. Le tissu gris est un mélange de lin et coton appelé Essex Linen en "black". Les poches sont coupées dans du tissus Robert Kaufman de la collection Botanics. 
Voilà donc de quoi porter tous les livres et classeurs pour aller travailler. Je suis fin prête!
