About

Hello and welcome to my blog!

My name is Sophie, I live in the french Alps. I am a mother of 2 young and very lively kids and I work full time as a teacher .
I lived in England for five years: I studied and taught there and learnt to speak english. I have a real love for this language that is why most of my posts are bilingual.

Working, beind a wife and a mom leaves me with very little time for myself. However I make it a priority to have some creative time almost everyday, usually in the evening when kids are in bed. I never watch TV ( well except for watching Downton Abbey!! Who coul resist!!), and I make time if necessary: creating is essential to my balance!

I started this blog 3 years ago to share my scrapbooking adventures. Since then I got to design for some amazing scrapbooking teams, write articles for scrapbooking magazines and get to know some of the most talented scrapbookers via  the Internet.

I first bought a sewing machine to add stitching to my scrapbook layouts. But one day I thought I could try to use it to actually sew something! On that day I fell crazily in love!
I taught myself to quilt and sew, and started making bags, costumes and garments for my kids and I. I am learning something new everyday but that is what I love : I am a learner!

Through this blog I hope to share my love of craft and sewing and inspire you a little!

I would like this place to be a place where you can come and get connected with someone else who shares your passion! We are often lonely in our sewing room!

This desire to connect encourages me to share tips and tutorials with you. I even started a sew along for the gorgeous Crago Duffle bag in March 2014. Find those here

thanks for reading,
Sophie
