{ PINKED OUT SUNDAY ! }

It took a fantastic week-end in the snow and your lovely comments to lift my spirits up!!
Thank you my friends! you helped me to put things back into perspective!
I think I got carried away with all the blog- design team- who -is -better- competition-spirit!!
and forgot why I started this hobby in the first place: for the love of my familie! and for the love of creating!
I hope that one day I will be part of a DT but it will just be cherry on top ! wink!!
and in the meantime there is so much more I have to learn about techniques and how to develop my own style.

So thank you my friends!! I feel so blessed to have met you through the love of crafty things we share!

Today it is sunday at the studio blog and reveal time of the week's challenge!
It is my last week as a guest designer and I am going to regret this whole month of challenges!!

here is the challenge given by Amanda:

It's our Sunday sketch challenge this week! I've created a sketch for you, and the challenge along with it is to use a monochromatic colour scheme.



at first I had done this layout, remember?






but then I realized it had to be monochromatic! duhhh!
impossible!! so I tried , and that is as monochromatic as I can get :









after working on this layout for a few hours, I got completly "pinked out"!! but my girl loves it!! and I do too!
I had fun creating a banner and using my new Artemio heart and scalloped circle
punches!!

the papers are mostly my mind's eye alphabet soup girl and I also used the amazing playing cards.
Love the Lily Bee Rub ons I got in my Magpie club october kit! Can't wait to recieve the december kit!!

j'ai fait une overdose de rose!mais je me suis bien amusée à créer cette bannière! pour le plus grand plaisir de ma fille!!

{ all paper Christmas wreath tutorial! }

today I am thankful for:

comfort! I feel so lucky to be able to be comfortably sitting at my desk , in a warm room, when it is freezing outside and some people don't have the means to heat their house. So I am thankful for that today!



Today I would like to share another humble tutorial with you!
I made this christmas wreath out of Making memories papers, lots of Elle's studio elements from their advent calendar pdf files you can find here and some other embellishments.









The wreath in itself is made of 10 sheets of scrapbook paper , folded and slid one into the other. It is very easy to make:

• fold the sheet in 2 to create a cross with the folds on your sheet:
  

• then fold both top corners down

• then fold the bottom of the sheet up to the center:

• then open the bottom part again and fold again so that the first fold meets the center of the sheet:
  

• Then turn the paper over and fold the corners that are sticking out:
  

• finally fole the big triangle in 2 so that you end up with :

when you have finished , I advise you stapple the bottom so that the triangle doesn't open up

• then slip another sheet identicaly folded inside the first one where my finger is and so on.

You can add a piece of paper to create a the background , or a photo or both!!

aujourd'hui je vous livre ma version de la couronne de noël, vue dans le dernier hors série de Esprit scrapbooking. Je vous propose aussi un petit et très humble pas à pas perso. J'ai utilisé des éléments du calendrier de l'avent de Elle's studio design que vous pouvez trouver ici.
Le papier est la collection de noël de Making Memories et j'ai ajouté d'autres petits embellissments!

voilà! la semaine passe à une folle allure et il fait très froid dehors!! de quoi rester bien au chaud avec les loulous!!

today I am thankful for

the internet! my mum( who lives quite far away) just got internet at home and for the first time she will be able to follow my blog posts!! yea!! love you mum!!


snow! I love the magic, soft atmosphere on a snowy day! and we already had our first one yesterday!!


cameras! I am so thankful that I can capture our best moments!




today I want ot share what I created during the first ever crop I attented last week end!

it was a clean and simple class given by 2 great ladies Odray and Marie Laure Bollinger!

we did a december daily :






on the left page I will put photos and the journaling will be written on the right!

and a set of gifts for tea time!

sunday at the studio challenge

It is sunday already!! I had a great week and spent a day at my first ever crop yesterday! it was just perfect!
I will show you later the beautiful projects we created but today it is time for the new challenge over at the studio challenges blog!
here is the challenge: This week,we want you to think about how lucky you are! Do you consider yourself 'lucky'? What is your idea of luck? Create a project about YOU and what being lucky means in your eyes.

and here is my take on it!

When I reflected on luck, the title was easily found as I believe that luck is just a question of perspective ! I like to think that luck as well as happiness depend on the way one looks at ones life! other people may think my life is ordinary but I believe I am the luckiest girl on earth!
My layout is bright and simple, I used too pictures of my kiddos I made in a particulaory happy day! and i used a journaling card to hide my journaling on which I added this big butterfly.

today I am thankful for :
peace: today is bank holiday in France! celebrating the end of World War I! peace ! isn't that a great thing to celebrate!?
and I get to stay home with kiddos !

birthdays: I love celebrating birthdays and celebrating life! My neview turned 15 on friday last week! oh my God! 15 already that makes me......well .. old!! :)

being organized!! I did my christmas shopping (yes I did!!) yesterday for the kiddos and I am so pleased to have found all the treasures they had put on their lists and with no crowd in the shops! no queue at the cashier!! yeah!!!


on the scrappy side: Here is what I did for ELLE's studio november challenge:

So here are the 3 things I am thankful for listed on my layout:
1. 2 kids who adore each other
2. a great house to live in!
3. a husband who is a great father!

Also wanted to share a card I did for my neview's birthday! I rarely do cards but I am quite happy with the result.

me revoilà avec mon jeudi reconnaissant! aujourd'hui je suis reconnaissante pour les jours fériés!!
les anniversaires: qui a-t-il de plus beau que de célébrer la vie? et le fait d'être organisée: croyez-le ou pas , j'ai joué au père Noël hier pour mes enfants et c'était juste le top: il y avait tout ce que je voulais, pas de foule et personne à la caisse!! royal!

je vous fais part de ma version du challenge de novembre à Elle's studio (ah oui ! je suis à fond!! on ne pourra pas dire que je n'ai pas fait des efforts!) et une carte faite (avec un peu de retard: pardon mon Théo!!) pour l'anniversaire de mon adorable neveu!!
