I am so so glad to be the first stop on the Lotta Skirt Blog Tour! Welcome!

Every single pattern Marte from Compagnie M creates has a perfect fit, great instructions and that special "Marte twist" that makes each design so unique !
So I was very happy when she asked me to test this new pattern for her!
And the result is one of my favorite and most worn garment so far this fall.
I wear it to go to work at school and it is both stylish and extremely comfortable.

Tous les patrons créés par Marte pour sa boutique Compagnie M sont magnifiques: ils sont bien faits, très bien expliqués et ils ont toujours cette touche un tantinet rétro que j'adore!
J'ai donc testé ce nouveau patron avec joie et je suis ravie du résultat: cette jupe est extrêmement confortable et je la porte souvent. 

When Marte sent me the pattern, I knew I would use this fabric I had hoarded: it is an amazing quilting cotton; mustard with silver lines by Cotton&Steel I got from Hawthorne Threads.

I made the skirt in size 36 and I am wearing it slightly low waist. 

Depending on the measurment you use, it can also be worn high waist, but I prefer the more casual look of a low waist fit.

The skirt patterns comes in 2 versions:
girl: 0 to 10 years old
Women and teenagers: 12, 14 yo and then 34 to 46.
Perfect for a "mini me" look with your child!

J'ai coupé en 36, et j'ai obtenu une coupe légèrement taille basse. 
Suivant les mesures que vous utilisez, vous pouvez obtenir un modèle taille haute, ou taille basse selon vos goûts. 
Le patron existe de la taille 0 à 14 ans pour enfants et ados, et pour femme de la taille 34 à 46. 

The waistband is lined but I did not machine stitch the lining to the main waist band. Instead I stitched it from the inside with a whipstitch. I love that there is no extra stitching line on the outside of the waist band.

 I think these pockets are so clever!!:)

 

I am highly recommending this pattern. It is amazing and very clear and the fit is perfection.
I am in luuuuuuuuuuurve with it!
I have stopped counting the number of compliments I got for this skirt!!:)
