{ SKIPPY & JOEY TOUR }

dimanche 14 septembre 2014

When Toni of Make it perfect asked me to be part of her Joey tour i was in immediatly! This pattern is perfect for autumn and back to school wardrobe.

Quand Toni de Make in Perfect m'a demandé si je voulais bien participer au blog tour de son nouveau patron Joey, j'ai immédiatement accepté: ce patron est parfait pour l'automne.
But I was also scared as I dread sewing with jersey, not owning a serger.
I took on what was a challenge for me and I am smitten with the result!

We had a fun photo session with my girl as we turned her into a librarian, using her brother's Harry Potter glasses and one of my books. Props always make a photo shoot so much more fun!

My girl is 8 but she is a skinny baby and I cut in 6 but 7 in length.

I had this gorgeous blue jersey in my stash and I think it suits her eyes perfectly!
This pattern is fabulous: I love how simple it is to add the neck band and the result looks very profesionnal, even without a serger.
It is very detailed and I love that it takes you by the hand, step by step.

I love the detail of the gathered shoulders

I think it is funny how grown up she looks on these photos!

This pattern is perfect for any level of sewing.
My next version will be made using some soft and warmer sweater fabric.

Thank you Toni for having me on your Tour!! I loved sewing this pattern and this dress has already been worn with great joy!!

I hope you are enjoying your week-end!
many hugs

  8. Beautiful Sophie. I'm loving this pattern more and more and yours will probably push me to buy it! My addiction to knit fabrics has me buying it from France, glad you enjoyed some jersey sewing.
    N'aie pas peur!
