{ I am ready // Prête }

2014 was the year I started sewing for my kids.
I could not resist sharing here some of the garments I made this year, since january.

2014 was cut in half: from January to September I had time to sew to my heart's content, but since September a full time job and nasty time table leave me with very little me-time.
But I had time to sew bags, quilts and even clothes for myself: her eis a little selection of some things I made:
2014 was the year I truly grew in faith. Every way I turned , everywhere I looked, I could see God's face. I listened to sermons while sewing and I am so grateful for online Bible Studies and sermons.

2014 is the year I started sponsering a child with Compassion International , through their branch in France . It brought so much joy to my heart.

2014 is the year I found true friendship through the internet: my dear Annika and my sweet Rachel helped me feel loved and connected even in my remote french mountain town, even far away from other sewers and other belivers. Thank you my friends!

I just come back home after a few days in the south of France and we came back to that:

Needless to say the kids were thrilled and immediatly put on their snow gear!

When their Dad came home they did that:

  Totally unecological, probably bad for their health (and my moma's blood pressure!!) but SO MUCH FUN!!!

Here is to 2015: no resolutions this year
I am still pondering over my 2015 WORD
My only goal is to read the whole Bible in a year: I am hoping for a transformative journey!

I wish you a great New Year's Eve! Have fun!

  3. Oh my goodness, my kids would be insanely jealous of your kids skiing behind the family car adventure. That's exactly the kind of thing my dad would have thought to do, and I think we owe it to our kids to be a little bit reckless for their sakes, every now and then.
    You've made some beautiful things this year. Best wishes for the new year and whatever it brings you.

  6. i loved reading your 2014 recap, and am stunned that this was the first year you've sewn clothes for your children! Your sewing is so professional looking and your design aesthetic already seems to well developed. So excited to see what 2015 brings as you explore more French patterns (Citronelle?). Love too that this was a year of spiritual growth for you. Listening to sermons while sewing is a great idea - I should try that!
