I
am so honored to be part of the Mara Tour.
The Mara pattern is a very quick and easy pattern and I love the retro look it has in common with all the other patterns created by Compagnie M.
TOday I am blogging on the Mara blog, where you can see many more versions of this blouse.

For my Mara, I chose this print by April Rhodes from her amazing collection: Arizona.
I had shorts for my
girl in another print from the same collection I wanted to match with it.
I used some amber solid for the front , and I used dark blue solid to make a bias in place of the piping.
The
button are the cutest thing: blue flowers with a little shinny
"diamond" in the middle: as you can imagine they were chosen by my
daughter!
My girl is obsessed with horses and loves to predend she is a native American!! This Mara
and the shorts create the perfect outfit for my little "Skwa"!!
We love this blouse at home and I can imagine there will be many more. THe Mara blouse is a quick project with a great impact. It creates an eye catching garment and there are so many options! I think the next one will be a dress version: the Mara dresses I have seen on this blog have truly inspired me!
