{Thanksgiving layout / BASIC GREY PERSIMMON }

To celebrate this special day , I have a layout to share: in fact we all have a layout over at the Basic Grey blog to share!here is mine:

Last year I started making a habit of keeping a gratitude journal, to keep record of all the things I am thankful for in my life. This layout is a sampler of this long list! I chose things I am thankful right now and used my favorite photos of the moments. 

This Basic Grey file” 5 reasons to be thankful “was really an obvious choice for this layout: it has a cool wavy design that I love!

I cut it with my Cameo and then backed the number five with a sheet from the Persimmon 6x6 paper pad. As I lost the word “be” I replaced it by matching sticker letters:

I placed the title on a black sheet of paper because it reminded  me of chalkboard. 

The remaining of the layout is very simple: I cut strips out of a variety of Persimmon patterned papers to match both the color scheme and theme of my photos. 

On these strips I placed my journaling: I printed it on white cardstock. I added numbers from the Persimmon sticker sheet backed with white circles. 

Then I moved to my beloved sewing machine and underlined each strip with long stitches.
