2014 was the year I started sewing for my kids.
I could not resist sharing here some of the garments I made this year, since january.

{ Christmas Winter PJs }

 It's holidays time my friends!! I am on winter break since friday!
After a really long and busy end of term, I finally found my way back to my sewing machine! oh ! heaven on earth.
And I managed to finish Blandine's Winter PJ .

Rhooooooooo! les vacances c'est trop bon!
Après une longue séparation, j'ai enfin retrouvé le chemin de ma machine!  et j'ai réussi à finir, à temps pour le matin de Noël, le pyjama d'hiver de Blandine.

Today I turned 37!
Yes I did! I have always loved celebrating my birthdays.
 I love getting older because I hated being young and unhappy.
With every year come new joys and a better understanding of my purpose here.
I love this life, my life, even when I don't like it!!

{Thursday sewing soulmate : market tote}

Remember that post: where I explained how my dear friend Annika from Näh-Connection organized a little "save Sophie" party in which some of my favorite blogging friends were invited to send me a little quick to sew kit to comfort me?? 
Annika has such a huge heart!!

{ Hemlock top }

On saturday, when I finally sat in front my sewing machine, it felt so good! 

It had been 10 days since I last used it, and I felt so happy! I kept on singing out loud to the kids and my husband; "I am sewing!! I am actually sewing!"

Yes, lunatic me!!

And so I sewed up this Hemlock top by Elegance&Elephants in this beautiful Lillestoff organic knit I had ordered on purpose and cut 10 days before on a quiet afternoon. 

Samedi, je me suis enfin assise à la machine, après 10 jours d'abstinence:!

J'étais tellement contente que je chantais à tue-tête: "Je couds!! Je suis en train de coudre!!"

Une vraie dingue, je vous dis!!

Et qu'est-ce que j'ai cousu: ce petit top tour mignon pour ma fille: le Hemlock Top par E&E.

This pattern is a breeze to sew: so easy and fast. The fabric is of such great quality, it took no effort at all to sew on my "normal" machine.
I don't own a serger yet, but I hope that Santa Klaus has one in stock for me in his workshop:)

I love to sew accessories. I think it is what I prefer sewing.
I like that you can achieve something that looks professional and will last longer than a garment.
And I love to know that I make them for my children.

J’adore coudre des accessoires. Surtout pour mes petits. J'adore l'idée qu'ils vont les garder plus longtemps qu'un vêtement.

What a sweet backpack! I love how you centered the muse on the back. I am still afraid of piping though;). This line is a definite purchase for me. Expecting baby girl #4 in April and I think she'll need some accessories from these fabrics!
