{ who's your best friend? ( scraptiffany challenge) / qui est votre meilleur ami?? }

Today at Scraptiffany, your challenge is to create a layout about "friendship"!
easy!!
I have many friends I love, but I thought that these 3 were best friends too!
and I like watching them playing in the garden!!










supplies: matériel:
I used a lot of studio calico here: mainly country side labels and paper.
I tamed the background paper down with some Mister Huey in cream
alpha : pink paislee
baker's twine
button: jenni bowlin
butterfly/ papillon: making memories


In other news : yesterday was reveal night for the 2 first magpie club kits! go and check them out!! they rock!!!

they both are filled with great products !! lots of studio calico and cosmo cricket and MANY butterflies!
You can also see the amazing work of the DT with these kits.
my picture is in there (so proud! let me tell you!!) but you can't click as I will be designing with the soon-to-come "mini album kit"! can't wait!


I am off to mark some homework ! argh!!!! I shouldn't be doing this !!
I mean: helloooooo! I am on HOLIDAYS!!
well I guess, us, teachers are quite lucky to have a lot of these, so we pay back by "marking" and preparing lessons!!

Anyway we had a great busy week-end! some major gardening was done!! so productive!

{ Meet her furry friends!! ( a layout) / de doux amis! }

I am not always happy with my layouts!hey !! I am no scrapbooking genius!!
even though I love them all because they tell our story!
I was not too happy with the previous one...

But I like this one! it is crisp clean and colorful! my style of scrapbooking!




it makes me happy to look at the pretty picture of my girl and her furry friends!!



Background paper, tag, twine, kraft , banners and green paper (american craft sunshine) are from studio calico april kit. singing in the rain!
But the 3 papers on the left handside are french! this brand is called Kesi'art and I love their collections!



We are still on spring break and I must leave you now as I am called to take part in a "chase the cheese" game with my girl!!!!

happy easter monday (and a layout) ! joyeux lundi de Pâques!!}

I am filled with joy and gratitude tonight!
Counting my blessings, I feel so lucky!
We had the best week-end and looking through all the photos, I feel so happy again!

just simple things, simple gifts....

sorry for the very long (self indulgent) post!! am sending you a bit of this love and bliss I feel right now!!!


I did a bit of scrapbooking with the april kit from Studio Calico:









We had the easter egg hunt on sunday morning!!

My girl trying to catch a glimpse of the "easter bunny" by the window!!

and then out at 8. 30!!








We also went back to see the cows and drank their awesome and warm milk!!




hence the "milky moustache"!!!





and I tried a photo shoot in the boy's room!!
but I was unable to get one good photos!!



none are perfect but all of them make my heart melt!!

Chers amis francophones!!

je me sens tellement heureuse ce soit, après un week-end merveilleux passé en famille, au jardin.
que de beaux moments, si simples et pourtant si parfaits!

alors je partage avec vous ces quelques bribes de bonheur!
la chasse aux oeufs , bien sûr !

et un petit tour du côté des vaches, qui nous ont offert un peu de leur bon lait (d'où les moustaches de mon fils!!)

et un peu de scrap! avec le nouveau kit d'avril de studio calico.

et puis une tentative de séance photo dans la chambre de mon fils: pas une photo correcte mais elles me font toutes fondre!

{ it is bath time!! a layout/ l'heure bleue }

Bath time is great!
I usually come back from work exhausted!
and while my girl plays in her room, I put my boy into his bath tub with many toys to play with!!
While he plays , I speak to him or read a book , sitting on the bathroom floor....
and sometimes I take photos!!

I used a color combo I found on crate paper's blog, for their march color challenge! everything is Emma's shoppe ! I heart this collection!!


I used stamps for details!!these clouds are studio calico's!! they are so beautiful!

As for Recycling!!
I must say I am usually not a recycler!! scrapbooking wise of course!!
so it was a real challenge for me to create a recycled project: I came up with the idea of using scraps from my girl's favorite baby's dresses,
dresses I wanted to keep forever as treasures!

on a scrapbook layout, I am sure they will never be binned!

SO I used 3 pieces of her dresses to create a grid layout.
I used lots of Pink Paislee Daily junque goodies to give a sparkling happy colorful effect !

{ are you ticklish ? (a layout) / le "radinage!!"}

My kids inherited from me the fact that they are very ticklish!
always found weird that DH doesn't react to any kind of tickle.. but anyway!!

I made a layout about one of their "tickling" session:
I used Studio calico's kit: into the woods .
The pink paper flower is also studio calico's (State fair collection).
And some FABULOUS elle's studio's tags! love these!
added some emma's shoppe Crate paper's stickers and buttons!

my girl spent some time gardening today with new tools her dad got her: she said she was "ratening"!! lovely!!

une petite page sur les guilis, qu'on adore ici!!

le matértile vient du kit de mars de studio calico: des papiers My mind's eye surtout.
j'ai ajouté une fleur en papier studio calico, des cartes de journaling Elle's studio et des stickers crate paper emma's shoppe.


ma fille a bien joué aujourd'hui avec de nouveaux outils offerts par son père: elle dit qu'elle a fait du "RADINAGE"!!
je souhaite qu'elle ne dise jamais "jardinage"!!

{ tea party!}

On saturday while baby boy was napping we had a fun tea party with my girl. it was a "doctor" tea party in fact: as we "drank" tea, we also healed teddy bears and furry rabbits!!
so Alice in Wonderland if you ask me!!














I also got a little but of time to play with the collection of new Elle's studio banners I received last week:it is was a very quick page !
