{ book crazy (a layout) / librivores!! }

I teach french and I specialized at university in comparative litterature!
so it is not necessary to say HOW much I LOVE books!
And I love that my kids love books!!

Even before they were born I started buying book for my "soon to come" babies!!

I managed to take a couple of photos of them both reading!!
a rare moment of piece and quiet!!





for this layout I cut 3 pieces of My Mind's eye Stella rose papers in the same size and just arrange them together to create that collage effect.
Just added some bright pink american craft paper and a studio calico's journaling card.






heart and "sweet" labell are Crate paper: emma's shoppe! how I luuuuuuuuve this collection!



a bit of stitching and VOILA!!!

juste une petite page à partager sur notre amour des livres!!
je me suis amusée avec cette page ! les marques des produits sont en gras dans ma version "anglaise"! vous pouvez cliquer sur les liens pour obtenir les références des produits!!

j'ai tenté de suivre la combo de couleurs proposée par le blog entreartistes de la semaine! mais bon il a fallu que je rajoute du vert!!

{ candyfloss and 18 months layout / barbapapa et barbouille!}

This week end was carnaval here!
we played the game fully: candyfloss (I mean the biggest candyfloss ever seen on the surface of the earth!!)









games, make up and parade!!

(please ignore the terrible makeup!! I had to "obey" my children!! after all it was THEIR special day!!ahaha!)


and I had time to do a very clean layout using studio calico's into the woods kit! it is part of my boy's monthly layouts!

ce week end c'était carnaval ici!!
alors j'ai joué le jeu à fond!! barbapapa géante, pêche aux canards et défilé!

et puis voilà la dernière page "anniversaire " de Maxence!! j'essaie de m'y tenir même s'il me manque quelques mois!!
j'ai utilisé le kit into the woods de studio calico: des papiers cosmo cricket salt air ( j'adore leur chipboards!!) et studio calico (pour le fond) , les autocollants sont aussi de studio calico. Vous pouvez les tgrouver ici.

{ a layout/ juste une petite page}

Recently I have been into long journaling. So many emotions to record. So much to treasure.
This layout is about one of these days I love, pure bliss and fun.










Lots of "old" Sassafras papers and banners , some Crate paper stickers (restoration) and cosmo cricket stickers.

voilà enfin le week-end!
en ce moment j'adore les textes longs sur les pages! alors voilà juste une petite page pour le plaisir de se souvenir d'un moment merveilleux avec mon fils, pour ne pas oublier, pour qu'il sache comme je l'aime!

with studio calico's kit:" into the woods" ! I scraplifted the idea of "quilted paper" from the immensly talented Susan. I love the result and I adore this layout, titled: "imperfect shot, perfect moment".




to see my kids enjoy a bit more play time with their daddy, as the snow season is over and he is a bit more at home!




the idea of having everything at hand in my studio, thanks to this IKEA cupcake dipslayer ! seems like I spend more time scrapbooking that cooking! hek!

But I believe that this kind of tragedy can only teach us to appreciate the beautiful and positive things of our lifes. AND US SCRAPPERS, we have a gift to celebrate small things. So my prayers go to all japanese people.

hey everyone!!

feeling tired tonight after a hard day at work!!
but you know what I like to do at night after I have put my kiddos to bed? what gives me a bit of fresh air ?
I love to get on the internet, read my fav blogs and read your comments on mine! but I didn't get that many recently!! and hope you are not getting bored of my posts and layouts!!

So tell me: is there anything you would like to see on this blog? more photos? more tutorials?

My hubby laughed at me the other day (yes he can be silly sometimes!!) and said I was feeding my blog for so few readers it wasn't worth the effort!!
I told him I don't know how many readers I actually have!! and that I loved blogging anyway , even though it was for a few readers!

so today I need your help: we are going to show him I am not alone out there!!!!

{ defining beauty.. favorite layout ever.../ comment définir la beauté? }

Why is that layout I made for the new scraptiffany challenge one of my all time favorite?????
I don't know but I am really happy with it (which is really rare for me!!) ans it makes me happy just looking at it!!

the challenge this week is "beauty"!!! wow ! there is inspiration in that title!!
you should go and check out what the ladies in the design team created!!
there are some amazing projects there! and the cards are particularly beautiful!!

I used a simple design and gorgeous papers and stickers from CRATE PAPER!! I love them! the rosebud paper is to die for!!
I also used some fabric I used to make the rolled flowers my girl wears on the photos. Behind the photos is an American craft Dear Lizzy journaling card! love these!!

voilà une de mes pages préférées!! je l'ai faite pour le challenge de scraptiffany cette semaine: définir la beauté! quel programme!!

j'ai utilisé un design très simple mais j'aime beaucoup les papiers et stickers crate paper et la carte american craft dear Lizzy qui est placée derrière la photo.

There are products I rarely use: black paper for instance is something I haven't used in a loooong while !
I got a sheet of black bazzill in my february studio calico's kit.
I thought I would leave it to sleep in my stash.
But then I read about the weekly challenge over at their blog !! pick up an item and make it work!!
so I tried !
I had this photo of my girl I took last year. I love it! I really wanted to put the emphasis on it so I thought a black background could be nice!!










I don't know if it works for you , but I do like this layout about my unique girl!!



and incidently this viking turned a year and a half on the 9th!!




to think he was like that 18 months ago makes me go "sigh" !!

le challenge de la semaine a studio Calico était d'utiliser un produit que l'on a du mal à sortir du tiroir et de faire en sorte que ça marche sur la page!!

pour moi qui aime le blanc et les couleurs , les pages noires sont un cauchemar! mais je me suis attelée à ce challenge et j'ai décidé d'utiliser une feuille noire!!
j'ai retrouvé cette photo de ma fille qui date de mars 2010, et que j'adore. J'ai trouvé que le fond noir permettait de mettre l'accent sur la photo.


cette page est aussi ma participation au challenge entreartistes de la semaine: utiliser les agrafes!!


en bonus!! quelques photos de mon viking qui a eu 18 mois le 09!! et une photo de la période de sa naissance: tout ça me fait pousser de profonds soupirs!!!!

{have you tried japanese binding ? / Avez-vous essayé la reliure japonaise?}

I always like to try new techniques, like to challenge myself:
so I decided to start exploring the world of "bindings": I made a "japanese" binding on this mini and I love the end result!
also created a window opened a a serie of layered edges.
used Lily Bee paper for the cover and all the pages are American craft City park.
It is a very random album, compiling some pictures of my kids I love !


































supplies: cover paper: lily bee
all other supplies: american craft city park : papers, stickers, ribbon
american craft ribbon
masking tape.


if you have any goods ideas on how to photograph minis, you are welcome to share them!! I did struggle and am still not happy with the result!!
